Sorilo Terms of Service
Last updated: 1 September 2026
1. Who we are
Sorilo is a trading name of Fergus Gregory Hughes, a sole trader established in England. Our address for correspondence and service of legal documents is Old School House, Itchen Stoke, Winchester, SO24 0QU, United Kingdom.
You can contact us at support@soriloapp.com.
These Terms govern your use of the Sorilo website and application at soriloapp.com (the Service). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
2. What Sorilo provides
Sorilo is software that helps freelancers organise projects, clients, invoices, expected and received income, expenses, receipts, tasks and estimated tax set-asides. Features may change as the Service develops.
Sorilo is an organisational tool. It is not accounting, tax, legal, investment or financial advice, and it does not submit returns or make payments to tax authorities on your behalf. Tax estimates are indicative only and may not reflect your circumstances. You remain responsible for checking your records, invoices, tax treatment, filing obligations and payment deadlines, and for obtaining professional advice where appropriate.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter a contract. If you use Sorilo for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.
You must provide accurate information, keep your login details secure and notify us promptly at support@soriloapp.com if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable care.
4. Your information and responsibilities
You retain ownership of information and files you enter or upload. You give us a limited permission to host, process, copy and display that content only as necessary to provide, secure, support and improve the Service.
You are responsible for:
- ensuring your records are accurate and keeping any legally required original records or backups;
- having a lawful basis to enter personal information about clients, contacts or other people;
- configuring and reviewing invoices before sending them;
- exporting any information you need before deleting your account; and
- using the Service lawfully.
Do not use Sorilo to upload unlawful, infringing or malicious content; gain unauthorised access; disrupt the Service; distribute malware; send spam; impersonate another person; or process information in a way that violates another person’s rights.
5. Trial, plans and payment
New accounts ordinarily receive a 14-day cardless trial. We may change, withdraw or restrict trials and promotional offers, including where we reasonably suspect abuse. Promotions may have separate eligibility and expiry terms.
The current standard plans are £4.99 per month and £49 per year, inclusive of applicable UK VAT where shown. The price, tax and billing period presented at checkout take priority if they differ from this page.
Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as Merchant of Record and authorised reseller. Your purchase is also governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms and Paddle Refund Policy. Paddle calculates and collects applicable transaction taxes, issues invoices and receipts, and manages payment details.
Unless checkout expressly states otherwise, subscribing starts the paid plan and charges you immediately, even if time remains on Sorilo’s cardless trial. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same billing period until cancelled. Paddle may retry failed payments in accordance with its terms.
6. Cancellation, refunds and account deletion
You may cancel through Manage subscription in Sorilo or through the link in Paddle’s subscription email. Unless an immediate cancellation is expressly selected, cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period and you retain access until then.
Refunds and statutory withdrawal rights are explained in our Refund and Cancellation Policy and Paddle’s policies. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.
Deleting your Sorilo account is different from cancelling renewal. Account deletion permanently removes access and is designed to cancel an active Paddle subscription before deleting your Sorilo identity and stored account data. You may therefore lose any remaining paid-period access immediately. Export anything you need first.
7. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable Service, but uninterrupted or error-free availability is not guaranteed. Maintenance, security incidents, third-party outages and events outside our reasonable control may affect availability.
We may add, change or discontinue features. If a change materially reduces the core paid Service, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable and respect any rights required by law.
8. Intellectual property
Sorilo’s software, design, branding, documentation and other materials—excluding your content—belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the Service for your own lawful business purposes while your account is active.
You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or commercially exploit the Service except where the law expressly permits it.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect users or the Service, investigate suspected fraud or abuse, comply with law, address non-payment, or respond to a serious breach of these Terms. Where appropriate, we will give notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.
You may stop using Sorilo at any time. Provisions that by their nature should continue—including ownership, accrued payment obligations, liability limits and dispute provisions—survive termination.
10. Responsibility and liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your mandatory consumer rights.
Subject to that, Sorilo is provided as a business organisation tool. We are not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate information you enter, reliance on estimates without appropriate checks, missed filing or payment deadlines, or decisions that should have been reviewed by a qualified adviser.
If you use Sorilo wholly or mainly for business purposes, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue, business opportunity, goodwill or anticipated savings. Our total liability relating to the paid Service will not exceed the greater of £100 or the fees paid for Sorilo during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limit does not apply where prohibited by law.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal information. Our Cookie Policy explains our use of cookies and similar storage technologies.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service, law or business operations. We will post the updated version and revise the date above. We will provide reasonable advance notice of material changes where required. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Service and cancel before the change takes effect.
13. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory right a consumer has to bring proceedings where they live.
Please contact support@soriloapp.com first so we can try to resolve a complaint informally.
